Irish Baroque Orchestra Win Olivier Award for Irish National Opera’s ‘Bajazet’

The Irish Baroque Orchestra and Artistic Director Peter Whelan have received the award for “Outstanding Achievement in Opera” at the 2022 Olivier Awards. Eric sang the role of Andronico in the opera – a co-production between the Irish National Opera and Royal Opera House in London. The production was also nominated for “Best New Opera Production.” The cast also featured James Laing, Gianluca Margheri, Niamh O’Sullivan, Claire Booth and Aoife Miskelly.
